The Institute for Spatial Planning and Environment Research (ISPER), headquartered at Panchkula is a society registered under the provisions of the Societies Registration Act, 1860. It is also registered under the provisions Section 12 A (a) of Income Tax Act of India and has the exemption granted by the Income Tax Department under section 80G since March 2011. This Institute of Excellence - at Amravati Enclave, Panchkula is a nonprofit, non-political body established primarily to assist the Government and its arms in framing/execution of policies/plans and developmental programs.ISPER, is a multi disciplinary organization is committed to promote geo-spatial technologies and its applications in various development activities of society, economy and environment through community participation. ISPER provides for a common forum to undertake research and to disseminate knowledge for welfare of society. It has in-house capabilities in Developmental Planning and undertaking programs that sensitize the policy makers and the people about their development needs through capacity building process.
